From the Provo MTC to the ITALY ROME MISSION!!

While in the MTC we stayed at the Marriott Hotel.  It was nice but along way from the MTC Campus.  All in all the MTC experience was wonderful and we learned so much and made some lifetime friends.
Here is the group of senior couples that was all office missionaries and trained with us the second week of MTC.  The training is nothing like the actual experience in Rome but after a few weeks we will get it down and do just find.  We are working long hours and some saturdays as well
Here is Sister Valentine shopping for our first Italian groceries before we had even been to bed after a 26 hour flight.  If we look a little dazed it is because we are.  Of course, we can not read any of the labels so it is hard to even know what you are buying.

Here we are getting out of our first Sunday meeting  blocks in the Roma 2 ward.  I was amazed how many very strong families are in this ward.  Many of them could be bishops, young men presidents, RS President, etc.  They are wonderful saints and so thirsty for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We just completed our second full week in Rome.  We have been overwhelmed with our very full days working in the mission office and setting up our apartment to live in.  We leave the apartment early in the morning and often return just in time to go to bed and prepare to do it again the next day.  We are tired but extremely grateful for the opportunity to be serving our Heavenly Father in Italy.  The Missionaries here are incredible and appreciate the time we spend with them.  While we have not had time yet to see any of the wonderful sites in Rome, we love being involved in this great work.  Below are some photos of our time in the MTC and a few early pictures of us Rome.

MTC Experience

Tonight our MTC experience is almost over. Two more days before we leave for Rome, Italy!  Tonight we attended a devotional with 2000 other missionaries and was taught by Elder Neal Anderson, Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, about the Atonement.  Words can not describe the joy Marilynn and I felt as we sang "Called to Serve" with the other missionaries and listned to a Prophet of God.  We are so grateful to be full time missionaries.  We will post our next entry in a few weeks from the Eternal City of Rome Italy!  Arrivederci
